We decided to tough it out but it was less than ideal... The only reason I did not give it 1 star was because I did get half of my money back and the manager was very polite on the phone and apologized. If you decide to rent from here, i suggest calling a few days ahead of time to make sure everything actually works.....
Rented the Duffin pavilion for my sisters bridal shower. I was told that everything would be unlocked and ready for our arrival so all we had to do was set up our decorations.
I called the desk and the guy said he would call maintenance to come turn it on, a half hour later the guy from the front desk shows up and tells me the electricity hasn't worked for the past 4 days, but nobody bothered to tell him or I this. He offered me another pavilion in the place, but everything was already set up and invitations said this pavilion specifically and guests were to be arriving soon.
This was simple and informative five stars¡
My fiancee and I stayed in the "rustic" cabins for a week and enjoyed everyday here I would absolutely come back and highly suggest it to friends....
When I got there, everything was locked and the picnic tables were a mess. I had to go to the office and grab the key and when unlocked the kitchen and bathroom, nothing had been cleaned. There were dead spiders and flies everywhere. I cleaned it myself and if that were it I would have been ok.... BUT then I went to plug in our crock pots of food for the shower and the electricity wasn't working.
